Jump with purpose
Checkers
Claim the diagonal, take every required jump, and crown a path across the board.
Red moves first.
American rules
Jump when
you can.
Red moves first. Men move one dark square diagonally forward. A capture jumps an adjacent opponent into an empty square beyond; captures are mandatory, and you must continue a multi-jump with the same piece.
Reach the far row to become a king, which moves and captures both ways. Under English/American rules, crowning immediately ends that turn—even if the new king could jump again. You win when the opponent has no pieces or no legal move.
