How the clue works
Right digit.
Right place?
The secret contains four distinct digits chosen from 0–9. A leading zero is allowed, so 0427 is a valid secret and a valid guess.
A means a correct digit in the correct position. B means a correct digit in the wrong position. For example, 1A2B identifies three useful digits—one already in its place.
